Often embody the original, unspoiled, partly unaware part of the personality, above all instincts, desires and feelings by which one is fascinated though which one does not dare to realise in the reality out of consideration for the conventions, nevertheless. Often one understands these needs, inclinations and wishes as the 'dark sides' of the personality for which one even is maybe ashamed, - however, they must be also integrated into the self-image and be accepted, otherwise one lies forever with himself in contradiction. Now and then the natives symbolise sexual needs which one has sacrificed to the morality without being able to escape from them, - also they must be accepted, even if one cannot realise them.
