The colour Lilac (on the external border of the visible chromatic circle) symbolises the wish for higher knowledge in the spiritual sense. And lilac was (and is) really preferential (and ostentatiously carried) a clothes colour of people who wanted to illustrate with it her 'otherness' and her special position in the life: Measuring garments of the Catholic church at 'coach times' are mauve, the conservative high clergy of the Middle Ages (noble cardinals) carried lilac. And a group, as it could not be contrary, has also made the colour Lilac to 'theirs': Every more or less radical feminist carried at least to the 'demo' mauve for overalls or lilac violet alternative look. So dreams' deal 'mauve symbolically with one or other 'extreme on the border of the spectrum'. (See also colours)
